Extensive Inspections in the northern village of Maungdaw

Arakan News Agency correspondent reported that Myanmar regime forces raided the village of Hawarbil in north of Maungdaw city of the Arakan state and arrested a number of Muslim men also dozens fled the village to the surrounding forests.

The correspondent said the raid began at night on Saturday and continued until on Sunday last week, security forces subjected residents of the village to the operations of a large – scale inspection as not yet know confirmed the reason for this strict inspection.

The correspondent added that more than 10 people were arrested and then released at a later date and family members of the victims are still afraid of assaults and violent crimes against them.
